As we enter the end of Summer and enter into Autumn, we can now recap what we did over the summer vacation.

We worked with two western European companies looking to consolidate warehouse space in the Chicago area and worked with them to connect with various local 3PL vendors. 

We reconnected with various international Trade offices including the Pays de la Loire region of France as well as the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Chicago.

We worked with two eastern European companies looking to expand operations in the USA. One is looking at a $20mm expansion in the Pacific Northwest, the other is a $100mm greenfield investment in the southern states.

We were commissioned by an Area Having Jurisdiction (AJH) / unit of government in Texas to fine tune their upcoming offerings of their services to an international market.

We enjoyed visiting with the manufacturing team from San Antonio, Texas and learned a lot about the business climate as well as the burgeoning need for new k-12 schools. With an estimated 265,000 people added to the Texas population each year a back of the napkin calculation illustrates the need for over 241 new high schools between now and 2028. At an average cost of $80 million each, it will create a huge economic impact in both jobs and indirect market activity.

Lastly, we met with the new General Director of KOTRA Chicago and have provided warm introductions to Rosalind Franklin University as well as with local connections in neighboring states.

We are currently working on new opportunities in the energy sector as well as the secondary manufactures of energy storage.

We are looking at a robust fall schedule with upcoming discovery trips to the U.S. Southeast and U.S. Southwest.
